We're here! ARISE has touched down in New York to showcase our Spring 2012 collective, Made in Africa, at New York Fashion Week (NYFW). It’s our fourth NYFW collective – and our biggest yet.
We’re excited to be back and to present the dazzling, imaginative works of seven African designers: Asibelua, Bunmi Koko, Jewel By Lisa, KLûK CGDT, Lanre Da Silva Ajayi, Pierre-Antoine Vettorello and Tsemaye Binitie. To whet your appetite, read our highlights from our first and last outing at NYFW.
If you can’t be at this year's NYFW showcase in person, fear not! You won’t miss a thing as we’ll be streaming the event live on our website. Coverage of the Made in Africa show kicks off today from 17.45 EST (20.45 GMT), bringing you all the action directly from Avery Fisher Hall, Lincoln Center.
And as well as beaming our NYFW collective right into your home or work, we've set up a Live Blog and will be busy tweeting – to bring you up-to-the-minute news as well as analysis, interviews and commentary.
So make sure you’re following us on Twitter @ARISEmagazine and add our Live Feed and Live Blog to your internet bookmarks now – you’ll be needing them!
All that remains is to say thanks to everyone who’s helped make this possible and good luck to all the designers. Today African fashion takes centre stage, and it’s only just the beginning...
